  • Better homebuying for everyone involved

Acre is rebuilding the UK’s £1.4 trillion mortgage market from the ground up, with a suite of digital products for the user at every part of the process.

Our platform cuts out the unnecessary admin, pain and friction from buying a home. We're covering the entire journey, from figuring out what you can borrow, to getting your keys. We're guided both by the voice of real home buyers and by our close relationships with brokers, lenders and insurers, through our exclusive broker distribution agreement representing over £40 billion in mortgage lending each year. We won’t stop until the process of buying, mortgaging, conveyancing, and insuring your home is affordable and completely seamless.

    The role:

Our products are based on a simple driving principle… B2B software should still deliver brilliant UX that everyone expects from B2C apps. Our early adopters love us for the fact that our products are intuitive and simple to grasp, so we're always striving to take that further and deliver best in class experiences.

We're designing for both B2B (a range of roles within financial advice firms) and B2C (homebuyers), so when we design features and experiences, we're solving a diverse set of problems and pain points for various people who will interact with our products.

    What you’ll be doing:

As a Product Designer at Acre, you'll be taking ownership of end-to-end design solutions. Starting with working with Product Managers to properly define and understand problems, collaborating with the wider product team to identify opportunities that solve them, using UX best practices to design great experiences for our users and working with Developers to ensure the best possible delivery of your designed experiences.

A large part of this involves being close to users so we can design with a rich understanding of their needs in mind. We should be data-driven when making decisions about the UX of our products, this means joining product demos and customer training sessions to observe how our users get to grips with the system. You must be the voice of our users in all discussions so you need to be passionate about building empathy and a deeper understanding of them at every opportunity.

    • Help to develop the visual design of our product and push our design system to deliver consistent, delightful experiences.
    • Work closely with all parts of the company including Product, Tech, Customer Success, Sales and Senior Management.
    • Be an advocate for the user, build empathy for them and their needs.
    • Be able to balance business needs with the needs of the user and make informed decisions and tradeoffs.
    • Build, measure, learn - you'll be prototyping and testing with real users to guide our design process, to ensure what we build delivers real value.
