    Our Service

    Hello Lamp Post is a unique chat-based platform that can give a “voice” to any kind of place, space or street object. Users are invited to strike up chats with objects powered by our custom-made conversational AI via SMS, Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp on their mobile devices.

    The objects that people talk to are friendly and inquisitive. They can share helpful information, like bus times and parking instructions, as well as ask interesting questions and share what other people have said. Our backend aggregates the opinions that users have shared, and we turn these into insights for decision makers. 

    Our Story So Far

    Hello Lamp Post has been growing rapidly since we incorporated in 2018. So far this year over 20 new clients have subscribed to our services and our team has doubled in size. Hello Lamp Post is being used in places around the world including Westminster Council, MediaCity, The London Olympic Park, Vancouver, Sydney and more. 

    Job Summary

    Experience working with or within UK local government/public sector is a strong preference for this role.

     

    Key responsibilities

    • Develop and implement go-to market strategies and strategic account plan.
    • Guide clients to realise full value from their contracted services, ensuring client success and maximising retention.
    • Ensure all strategic and target accounts are aware of relevant HLP products, services and benefits that will contribute to their success.
    • Research and identify potential new client opportunities, lead in developing proposals and be able to quickly scope statements of work for clients.
    • Work with key clients to ensure they are willing to reference our work and abilities.
    • Keep thorough records of customer interactions.
    • Provide and/or coordinate appropriate resources, such as on-line demonstrations and sending the appropriate materials/events to clients in order to educate and nurture upsells.
    • Develop and manage our pipeline with new and existing clients.
    • Building and maintaining relationships with clients at a senior level.
    • Accurately forecast, track, and report revenue.
    • Help to design new strategic partnerships.

    Experience / What we’re looking for

    • Passion for public sector success
    • Depth of understanding in Web 2.0, social media and Software as a Service
    • Ability to use challenger selling techniques
    • Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills
    • Outstanding interpersonal skills for relationship building
    • Strong network and track record of engaging with UK local authorities.
    • Leading multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement products that solve complex public service problems.
    • Have a strong background and understanding of service design, digital innovation and product development in a public sector sphere.
    • Have experience of delivering innovative projects and programmes for public sector clients.

     

    Examples of Likely Performance Metrics 

    • Ability to clearly and concisely articulate the HLP mission and how our solutions deliver it 
    • General ability to work as part of a team and as directed by CEO 
    • Keeping of thorough records of customer/prospect interactions 
    • Number of client meetings – target in key accounts per quarter 
    • Client renewal rate – ideally 100% - minimum level 95% ACV 
    • Client up-sell rate – ideally 5% increase in ACV across all managed accounts 
    • Number of client referrals – resulting in one new sales per quarter 
    • Client case studies and testimonials – agreement to develop one new or updated case studies per quarter 
    • Client satisfaction – feedback from Clients on customer focus and problem solving
