Over the past 18th months we've worked with the government to provide safe and reliable tuition to more students than ever. Since last March, we've scaled up while working remotely and kept a working environment that encourages collaboration and support. We always prioritise our team wellbeing and development. Everyone has the option to use our hotdesking app, Desana and, once Covid regulations ease, we’ll have a permanent office space in London for people who want to come in.

The role in a nutshell:

We are looking for a Talent Manager to join our growing People Team. This is a great opportunity for someone who truly wants to make a difference, loves engaging with people and has a passion for how our product helps students.

Reporting to the Senior Talent Manager you will be responsible for hiring top talent across various departments including tech and product, from sourcing through to offer. Aside from hiring you will be responsible for contributing to various Talent projects to improve processes and candidate experience.

What you can expect:

  • Work with teams across the business, including Product and Engineering, to understand their hiring objectives and hit headcount goals
  • Support in improving and scaling our current recruitment process
  • Run the hiring process from sourcing through to offer stage
  • Use metrics to report on our hiring performance
  • Set creative plans for sourcing candidates with diverse backgrounds across all roles
  • Work closely with the Senior Talent Manager to constantly improve and deliver a high-quality and holistic candidate experience
  • Take the lead on some key initiatives to improve the Talent function


  • Experience hiring into multiple teams in a high-growth tech start-up/ scale-up including Product and Engineering.
  • The ability to identify and source high-quality candidates and be responsible for placing them in the appropriate team with clear expectations of success.
  • Expert time management and prioritisation skills
  • Experience working on multiple projects that extend beyond talent e.g. employer brand, new technologies, D&I
  • The flexibility to shift tasks and priorities when circumstances change, generating solutions that serve the business
  • Someone who is used to working at pace, whilst maintaining quality
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience using data to tell a story and make process improvements
