The role:

We’re looking for our very first Account Executive to build and scale long-lasting partnerships with existing and new customers. 

What you’ll be doing:

🌱 You’ll be the face of Surfboard owning our growth strategy and driving excitement and awareness of our product. Do we want to say something about working with the commercial and operations team to onboard customers to maximise the likelihood of a long term partnership?

🧱 Cultivate customer relationships on different levels to gain a deep understanding of their business needs and how Surfboard can help them achieve their goals. You’ll use your past experience, personal contacts and networking skills to spread the Surfboard word and increase the sales pipeline.

🧠 Maintain strong knowledge of our product, pricing plans, promotions, competitors and service features along with client information in our CRM system.

🖊 Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines.

 

Requirements: 

👍 We'd love to hear from you if you: 

  • You eat, sleep and breathe sales. You know how to convert warm leads into long-term customers and aren’t afraid to get stuck in through all elements of the sales process from cold prospecting to social selling.
  • You have a great track record of maintaining a large sales pipeline and are comfortable executing sales plans, developing proposals forecasting, negotiating and closing sales.
  • Have excellent communication & interpersonal skills: you are a charismatic, people-person that has the ability to talk to anyone and work in an ever-changing startup environment.
  • You know exactly what our customers want and use insights, trends and research to ensure we continue to build a market-leading product.
  • You’ve got a positive and competitive attitude and are an incredibly structured approach to selling and navigating sales pursuits.
  • You’re keen to take ownership of your next role and help shape this area of the business for Surfboard.

👎 This might not be a good fit if you:

  • Are looking specifically for line management opportunities in the near term – our focus this year is making sure we have processes that can scale, which means you'll be hands-on with everything before we grow the team.
  • Aren’t comfortable using your own initiative and working with a limited budget and resources.
  • Aren't open to assisting in the creation of processes and procedures concerning this area of the business.
