The Role

As a consultative sales professional you'll be representing Deeper Insights with responsibility for finding, researching and qualifying prospects before understanding their needs to a granular level and leading the team to demonstrate our ability to deliver value. Our customers and prospects are at the leading edge of innovation and so you will need to help them understand how our technology and services can power their competitive positioning. There is a mixture of inbound enquiries and outbound activity required to build a platform, upon which your success will be built. 

Core Responsibilities

The focus areas of the role are:

  • Generate quality leads through various forms of direct sales activities such as calls, emails, events, webinars, and other channels generated by Marketing.
  • Respond to, and qualify inbound enquiries which are generated through our website and partner recommendation engines. 
  • Record all activities and properly manage opportunities in our CRM system.
  • Achieve or exceed monthly targets of meetings, calls and qualified leads.
  • Use the inhouse REDCOAT methodology of qualification to make an assessment of real and winnable business.
  • Work with Marketing to design lead generation and prospect nurturing programmes.
  • Gather and articulate prospect's needs from multiple stakeholders to gain mutual agreement on opportunity progression.
  • Assist prospects in the alignment of Deeper Insights technology and services to their business objectives. 
  • Creatively develop your own lead generation techniques in order to build a platform for success.
  • Feedback consistent themes in prospect and customer responses to our propositions to the business leadership. 

About you

  • You will have been in sales for a number of years - there is no pre-defined criteria for actual number of years.
  • Possession of exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are important. Ideally you will have a flair for succinct and creative written, and verbal communication. 
  • Strong presentation skills are a must, with particular emphasis on the use of video calls for delivery.
  • You are highly self-motivated, with a strong desire to succeed.
  • A critical thinking approach to sales is desired.
  • Organised, with excellent time management skills.
  • Growth mindset - a natural tendency to constantly upskill and learn.
  • We are a small team so you will need to be prepared to grow and develop with us.
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive, Slack and ideally Pipedrive.
