    Salary: £35-45k per annum (DOE) 

    Contract type: Full-time. We offer flexibility of working hours and location

    We are looking for a CMS (Wordpress) Engineer to help evolve the marketing site for our world class eSignature platform.

    As such, Signable is now recruiting for an ambitious and competent Wordpress Developer to maintain, develop and expand the brand’s current audience communications and further its global reach.

    What you will be doing

    You will lovingly craft and engineer the inner and outer workings of our marketing site which is built in Wordpress. You will get involved in both the back-end and front-end development, building new features and maintaining the shop front for a world class eSignature platform.

    This role will sit in the Design Team and work closely with the Head of Design.

    This is an exciting new role for Signable, helping the business to realise its ambition and strategy through the development of its primary conversion tool, its website.

    Our Ideal Candidate

    • You are ready to own the development of and carry it forward to be a world class marketing site
    • You have comprehensive experience building, honing and maintaining Wordpress sites
    • You have experience using Gutenburg.
    • You have great front-end skills using HTML, javascript (some JQuery) and writing CSS in SASS
    • You have great experience designing and implementing new features and functionality, and crafting delightful cross device experiences
    • You have experience optimising the performance running and SEO of Wordpress sites
    • You are great at training less techy people to use the Wordpress CMS as efficiently as possible
    • You are excited about supporting the other teams in the business such as Marketing can support A/B testing experiments through your technical expertise and experience 
    • You have an ambition to explore and test new technologies to further enhance our marketing strategy
    • You will have a keen eye on industry trends.
    • You love working closely with designers to help find ways of making the impossible happen 

    And a massive bonus if:

    • You have some experience with DevOps.
    • You have experience with multilingual sites, specifically WPML.
    • You have good experience working with conversion optimisation, analytics and A/B testing technologies

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Comprehensive experience building and customising themes in WordPress.
    • Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
    • Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications.
    • Experience designing and developing responsive design websites.
    • Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
    • Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers.
    • Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages.
    • Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML).
    • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git, SVN or Mercurial (we use GitLab)
    • Strong understanding of PHP back-end development including Advanced Custom Fields.
