Brand Marketing Lead at MANUAL

  • The Role

    We’re searching for a customer obsessed, creative and ambitious Brand Marketing Lead. This role reports to the VP Marketing, as part of our London (UK) based marketing team. 

    In this role, you’ll be responsible for creating cut-through marketing campaigns that help to bring to life the whole Manual brand; our categories, our products, and our exciting mission, for consumers around the world. 

    A storyteller at heart, you'll flourish in this role if you can collaboratively lead the development and execution of insight-driven strategic, integrated marketing initiatives, designed to build brand, category and product awareness, encourage consideration, and ultimately lead to impressive business results.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities include:

    • Create brand, category and product marketing communications that deliver cut through with our target market, building fame, driving engagement and action

    • Work closely with our team of Category Managers and Product Manager to shape product and category positioning and go to market plans

    • Support the Growth team to acquire new customers by creating eye-catching campaigns for our range of products and services

    • Transform strategic positioning and go to market plans into integrated marketing and communication campaigns and accompanying calendar

    • Identify key milestones, cultural trends and other opportunities, and transform them into timely and relevant marketing and PR campaigns

    • Undertake research to develop customer, audience, market and competitor insights to identify key audiences, their drivers and any barriers to help inform brand and product marketing decisions

    • Collaborate with the Community & Content Lead to integrate content and community initiatives into brand, category and product campaigns

    • Partner with our Creative Director to ensuring that our positioning, visual identity and tone of voice are kept consistent as we execute campaigns

    • Manage day-to-day relationships with freelancers and agencies

    • Continuously track brand health metrics (eg. awareness, consideration, perception) and ROI of brand initiatives to measure success and learnings

     
    Requirements

    We are looking for someone with:

    • 5+ years of Marketing / Communications experience (pref. client side)

    • Proven experience building successful consumer brands - ideally in-house at a tech startup much loved and admired for their standout brand

    • Experience in delivering campaigns across digital and traditional channels, with an understanding of how brand building can support revenue goals

    • Solid agency management experience with a track record of delivering impressive on time, on budget, and on brand results

    • A hands on history of successfully delivering projects in at least two of the following areas: integrated marketing, PR, content, social, media (TV/OOH)

    • Exposure to audience and market analysis for gathering insights and building deeper understanding of consumers and their motivation for using products or services, and transforming insights into initiatives

    • Previous healthcare industry experience is a plus, and any experience creating content within a ‘compliance’ industry would be beneficial too

    • Prior experience working with cross-functional, remote or international teams in a startup/scale-up or high-growth business exposure
