  • Elucidate is a RegTech/RiskTech start-up based in Berlin building an innovative SaaS-based solution for Financial Crime risk management. Our flagship platform, the Elucidate FinCrime Index (the EFI) provides quantifiable and defensible financial crime risk metrics to financial institutions, highlighting risks as they emerge. Our goal is to identify and minimize their financial crime risk exposures, specifically focusing on money laundering, terror financing, and corruption risks. Think of us as the Moody’s of financial crime risk. The EFI is the first step towards a more interconnected and internationalized financial system actively working against criminals.

    We pride ourselves on our exceptionally diverse and multidisciplinary team, joining us from previous careers in FinTech, investment banking, financial regulators, Big4 consulting firms, nonprofits, venture capital, and the public sector.

    At Elucidate, we know that the key to growth is in a high-performing sales team. We are looking for a friendly, well-spoken sales development representative to expand our customer base. In this role you will be responsible for generating potential leads, facilitating sales, and connecting customers with the right salesperson. As our Sales Development Representative (m/f/d), you will act as the first line of communication with prospects and offer a deep understanding of the sales process, excelling at researching leads, starting new relationships, and setting our sales closers up for success.


    Your main responsibilities will include:

    • Ownership, management and implementation of all inbound leads 
    • Management of all activities performed by an external SDR agency 
    • Performing market research to profile strategic accounts identifying key individuals, players, pain points and business requirements
    • Optimizing sales strategy, processes and tools, and responsibility for operational implementation in close collaboration with our Sales Operations
    • Train other SDRs/BDRs
    • ​Serve as liaison with the marketing team for aligning marketing and sales campaigns + sales collateral

    What you need to succeed: 

    • You bring 2-4 years of sales experience, with a proven track record of exceeding lead targets
    • You practice active listening to better understand prospects and serve stakeholders’ needs, in a consultative manner
    • You are capable of understanding customer pain points, requirements and correlating potential business to value that can be provided by Elucidate
    • You are well-versed in outreach email copywriting and strong communication skills via phone/video calls
    • You have good communication, interpersonal, teamwork, and customer service skills
    • You practice self analysis and are determined to try different things until things work out; you are good at shaking off the 'no' and pushing forward
    • You are proficient with CRM, data enrichment, sales automation, and other sales stack tools
    • A plus if: you have successful completion of coursework in sales techniques, marketing, and communications
    • Big plus if: you have prior experience or knowledge selling B2B products to the finance, banking, or regulatory industries.
