  • Across the economy, from construction to catering, up and down the UK, equipment and machinery is relied on to get the job done. 👷‍♀️ 🚜

    Yet, amazingly in 2022, there is no integrated tech solution helping business owners source, finance and manage equipment digitally.

    We launched last year in beta as Equipment Connect. With investment from Innovate UK, Techstars, Barclays and a host of industry expert angels, our fintech entered the market to improve asset finance. We were the first platform to fully digitise and integrate customer, vendor and funder users flows on one easy-to-use web app. In an over-intermediated, inefficient market where equipment leases could take days to arrange and often required many documents, our platform delivered a paperless process where leases were executed in minutes. ⚡

    On the back of strong traction and great customer feedback, we recently secured £6M of funding commitments to grow our presence in the UK equipment market. We have recently rebranded as equipal to align with our customers. We are fortunate to work with 49 of the best equipment vendors in the UK, helping them to drive sales of equipment. In the months ahead we will be launching a mobile app and rolling out other products including a dynamic rental offering. 

    To support our growth plans we wish to hire a marketing manager (a.k.a. an absolute hero! 🦸‍♂️ )who will be responsible for creating, and executing our marketing strategy, helping us to define and build brand awareness for equipal, drive engagement and ultimately, nourish customer loyalty. You will lead campaigns across traditional and digital channels in line with the strategy you set.

    We are growing fast and anticipate many adventures on our route to success. We wish to hire an individual who can embrace the intensity of the role and rise to the challenge with a view to ultimately taking a C-level position. 

     

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Create and execute detailed data-driven marketing plans for our products, ensuring full coverage of all our communication channels.
    • Maintain marketing plans so they are up to date at all times and record all results of marketing activities to demonstrate growth.
    • Develop product marketing strategies (advertising, product launch, product layouts).
    • Work closely with the business development team to create proposals for lead development.
    • Create and oversee marketing materials from website banners to paper brochures and user stories.
    • Own our digital assets- Create valuable and engaging content across our web presence that engages our target audiences and converts them to customers.
    • Where necessary you will project manage freelancers to produce high-quality, reusable content. 
    • Data analysis.
    • Work with BD to execute our events strategy and ensure we generate a positie 

     

    What we are looking for:

    • At least 3 years’ experience in B2B marketing.
    • A good grasp of what drives small business operations and decision making.
    • Some understanding of SME finance and/or equipment/machinery is helpful.
    • Experience in communicating effectively with small business owners with knowledge on different tones of messaging.
    • Bachelor’s degree level or equivalent - in marketing, communications, analytics or related subjects.
    • Proficiency in using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc a plus.
    • Scrappiness and experimentation mindset: we are a start-up after all. You are comfortable rolling up your sleeves and getting things done. If you don’t know how to do something, you’ll figure it out.
    • Strong communicator, able to explain insight in detailed reporting.
    • Ability to work collaboratively, creatively and with a good eye for detail.
    • A strong work ethic and a team player. 😎

     

    This role is hybrid office / remote. (Finsbury Park, London)
