    We are looking for a Quantitative Analyst who can be part of enabling us to do so. They will have an entrepreneurial mindset and be excited to colour outside the lines and wear whatever hat needs wearing to get the job done.

    Requirements   

    • 3+ years experience as a quantitative, equity, credit analyst or similar role in the financial industry 
    • Excellent quantitative and problem-solving skills   
    • Highly proficient in Excel and VBA, having proven experience working with large datasets 
    • Highly proficient in Python and data science toolkits including NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn etc.
    •  Detailed knowledge of financial data modelling technique, econometrics and statistics is a must 
    • Great understanding of data science techniques and algorithms, such as k-means, k-NN, Random Forests, Decision Trees etc a big plus 
    • Experience with creating data visualisations, reports and client presentations
    • Has a genuine passion for investments and financial markets, experience working with buy side clients a big plus 
    • Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing   

    What the job involves   

    • Analysing trade, process, and emotional data to identify investors’ historical investment decisions and identify behavioural patterns and the root causes of such behaviour 
    • Support the advisory team in developing and codifying new analytical methodologies applicable to both fixed income and equities clients for use in our software platform 
    • Help develop our thinking around how the analytical work we do can be further automated, and created into independent software propositions   
    • Explore new data sets and new analytical approaches we can use to help our clients identify the root causes of irrational behaviour  
    • Writing effective and scalable code using Python programming language.   

    Our Tech Stack   

    We use a range of technologies in our stack across the front-end and back-end:   

       

    • React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Next.js, D3.js, and TailwindCSS power our front-end web application. We make extensive use of React Hooks and functional components, Redux for state management, and use Jest and React Testing Library for testing. 
    • Serverless powers almost all our infrastructure from on-demand analytics services to front end deployments. 
    • Python powers our analytics infrastructure to identify investment decision making patterns and run complex calculations and algorithms against large datasets
