49% of retirees consider the television or a pet to be their main companion. At thejoyclub.com, we’re on a mission to change that. We’re addressing the epidemic of boredom and loneliness amongst older people by providing activity, content and community to inspire a joyful retirement for all.
In December 2020 we launched The Joy Club platform in the UK, helping our members to meet new people and try new things through our live online events programme, inspiring content and thriving community. This is just the beginning, with plans for international expansion and an exciting product roadmap in place.
As Community Events Executive, you’ll be engaging our members by
Playing a key role in coordinating our live online events programme - researching, finding and onboarding excellent speakers and instructors to provide exciting high-quality events for our members.
Managing relationships with facilitators to encourage great interactions with members and promotion of events on their own channels.
Welcoming members to events and facilitating conversations once the events have ended.
Answering member enquiries and using this feedback to drive improvement and innovation within the team and product.
Do you have high EQ, with exceptional listening skills?
Are you positive and energetic, inspiring those around you?
Are you able to create structure out of the unstructured, highly organised with excellent writing capabilities?
If you answered yes to these three questions, keep reading.

A generous holiday allowance of 27 days + bank holidays + your birthday off.
