  • About the role

Do you have a fierce love for the sciences? Do you wish everyone could share your passion for biology? Do you believe the world would be a better place if everyone had the gift of scientific knowledge and understanding? Finally, do you want to make this happen?

If so, apply to join Up Learn as Learning Associate!

From day one you will learn to create groundbreaking education content that is smashing traditional beliefs about what students can achieve. We believe everyone can learn anything with the right teaching, and our courses are now proving that to the world.

Up Learn supports a hybrid working environment with two days in the office per week (one team day and one company day) and the rest is up to you!

    About us

At Up Learn we use AI and cognitive science to ensure every student can achieve an A* regardless of their background. We guarantee students academic success, or their money back.

Since launching in 2016 we’ve achieved 97% A*/A success rate (with some students starting from grades as low as Ds and even Us), helped over 40,000 students, delivered over 10,000 scholarships to disadvantaged students, and achieved a 4.9* rating on Trustpilot. We’ve raised over £3m from exceptional investors including VC Forward Partners, the Chairman of Virgin, the Former President of American Express, and the Branson family, to improve and expand our product, and create our next wave of A Level and GCSE courses, expanding our reach to millions of new students every year.

    About you

You understand biology’s power to explain life itself and find it compelling. You watch videos about advanced science on YouTube for fun and are constantly learning new things about your subject. You frequently find yourself using biology to explain the world around you, from the beauty and structure of the microscopic world to the local and global relationships between all living things. Maybe you think that On the Origin of Species is the most important book ever written. You jump at the opportunity to explain some part of biology to another person, and can get lost for hours and days in thinking and writing about it.

    • Learn to use cognitive science to produce the most effective learning content in the world
    • Draft animation and audio guidance for Up Learn's Biology summary videos
    • Design, write and review quizzes for consolidating learning and exam-style practice

    • Develop your ability to learn rapidly and adapt, working at one of the fastest growing educational technology companies in the world
