Accounts Assistant required to assist a finance team of 2 consisting of an FC and a management accountant in a busy and dynamic department. As the department is small, there will be exposed to many different tasks, so it is imperative that the successful candidate has excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Confidence and good communication skills are highly valued, as to the ability to identify improvements to processes and procedures. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain all-round experience in finance within a small business environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
Multi-currency bank reconciliations and administration
Monitor expense mailbox and company payment cards
Purchase ledger administration. Posting of invoices and gaining approval before the setting up of payments.
Administering the control and posting of our worldwide contractor invoices, ensuring that they are received and approved in a timely manner.
Downloading sales invoices from our subscriptions platform and uploading them accurately into our accounting package (Xero) on a weekly basis.
Reporting on weekly flash sales numbers and extrapolating them out for the month.
Liaising with our data team to determine new customers and upsells on a monthly basis from sales invoices raised.
Reconciling Balance sheet accounts.
Assisting the FC and management accountant with ad hoc duties.
Recording of process notes to compile a “How To” guide for the department.
