What you'll do

Reporting to the Senior Finance Director and working closely with the EU leadership team, you will be responsible for everything Finance for the Seedrs Group via the management of the finance function and team. You will own the full array of financial performance; reporting, FP&A and forecasting / budgeting and will be expected to attend / report in EU Executive meetings.

The Seedrs Group being Seedrs in the UK and all of its subsidiaries in Europe.

  • Management of the finance function: Oversee all day-to-day finance processes across the Seedrs Group including revenue recognition, intra-group transactions, bank relationships and cash flow management, plus supporting HR and payroll.
  • Internal and external financial reporting: manage preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts to the leadership team, variance analysis, annual accounts and quarterly tax returns; leading and ownership of the statutory audit.
  • Financial Forecasting and Planning: Production of budgets and financial forecasts for the business and continuously working closely with senior leadership via business partnering on operational and strategic decision-making. 
  • International operations & subsidiaries: Maintaining accurate accounting records for UK & EU entities, working closely with external accountants were necessary. 
  • Team leadership: manage a team of three highly skilled and motivated fully or partially qualified accountants, with the view to grow the team further in the foreseeable future. 
  • Strategic and operational projects: leading and supporting across various projects including group tax strategy and procedures (CT, VAT, R&D, TP), unit economics and cost apportionment, while continuously looking to optimise and improve our financial and wider business processes and controls.


Who we’re looking for

  • Proven experience: experience at FD / Head of Finance level, including: people management, liaising with senior leaders, core technical accounting, and commercially-focused budget management.
  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with 5+ years PQE.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail: proficient with Excel, BI tools and other financial systems and would be able to use your skills to create modelling and finance analysis.
  • Proactivity, pragmatism and great communication skills: you’re a self starter who is able to communicate financial concepts simply and clearly to non-financial audiences, balancing high standards with a pragmatic approach to making progress in the most efficient way.
  • Relationship building and a collaborative approach: you have the ability to build relationships with a range of different people, building trust easily and re-enforcing finance as an enabler of strategic decision making across different teams.

Nice to haves (not mandatory)

  • Experience in a regulated entity
  • Understanding of Intercompany Accounting / Transfer pricing
  • Accounting / CRM System implementation experience

Interview process

  1. 30 minute screening call with our Hiring team
  2. 1 hour interview with the FD and Senior FD including technical assessment
  3. Final interview with Europe’s Managing Director,  and one other Leadership member
  4. Culture interview held by the people team
