About the Job
As we enter the next stage in our journey we’re looking for a diligent, proactive person to join our Finance Team to support our continued growth.
You will have the opportunity to contribute directly to the department’s evolution as we prepare to meet new challenges while growing as a global company.
Although primarily working in and supporting the finance team, the role will have exposure to other areas of the business such as internal audit and compliance, enabling you to develop a broad experience base.
The role will initially be part-time at three days a week but we see scope for it becoming full-time quite quickly.
Your Responsibilities
You’ll be involved in assisting with the following:
- Accurately reconciling spend transactions in Xero (currently approximately 2k transactions per month) in conjunction with Dext
- Preparing and issuing customer invoices using Stripe
- Supporting with creditor & debtor management
- Helping to ensure that the team meets investor reporting deadlines
- Supporting both Financial and non-Financial Internal audits and compliance administration
- Supporting with the preparation of our monthly financial reporting
- Working with third parties in relation to our financial and tax reporting
- Collating financial information for decision making purposes
- Supporting internal initiatives
- Helping with administration around Internal Risk Management including design, audit and implementation of internal controls and policies
- Providing general administrative support to other business areas including the Internal Compliance, Information Security and Cybersecurity Function as required.
Your Skills and Experience
- Demonstrable experience in bookkeeping
- Experience and familiarity with Xero.
- Professional Financial qualifications would be advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Knowledge of financial regulations and laws
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets competency
- Familiar with processes and controls regarding online banking and cash management
- An interest in risk management, audit work and internal control methodologies would be advantageous
- Strong communication skills

Based on our framework (which computes above average salaries for your role across a number of sources and applies factors to account for things like your experience, seniority and location), your salary for this role will be between £21,634 - £28,600 (pro rata) depending on your experience and location.

Interview Process
Our team is entirely remote, and so is our interview process. You’ll need access to a device for video calls and a good internet connection.
