    Nimrud 

    Lens aberrations analysis and correction is a fundamental part of sophisticated imaging pipelines throughout many sectors, from construction, automotive, aviation and aerospace to defence and security, medical and life sciences, to the creative industries such as film, TV, video gaming, photography and interactive arts. For all these different sectors, in order to perform any meaningful analysis or image manipulation, the content captured through objective lenses must first be decoupled and cleared from as many lens aberrations as possible. 

     

    Nimrud is solving this challenge by developing an end-to-end technology for profiling, removing and synthetically reproducing the unique optical aberrations of any complex objective lens called the "Nimrud Framework". 

     

    The initial launch market for this technology will be the Film and TV industry, which is blooming worldwide, especially in the UK. 

     

    We are looking to expand our existing team and bring in a Co-Founder whose entrepreneurial and fundraising skills will complement our technical knowledge. Nimrud has four co-founders with strong technical backgrounds. We come from a variety of fields: science, engineering and Film and TV production, and we have a wealth of knowledge. We have been working for the last 18 months on our proof of concept prototype and have previously received grant funding to develop the core technology. Now we have successfully completed the initial stage we need to scale up the business and secure private funding to move forwards. 

     

    We’re looking for someone with experience in the start-up space, who has a deep understanding of customer development and can help develop a scalable business model. The right person will have a proven track record of successfully pitching and receiving funding. We’re looking for someone who will match our understanding of the product with insight into the consumer market and investor landscape. We want this to be a long-term relationship that’s beneficial on all sides, with flexible options regarding remuneration and equity. 



    Requirements

     

    • Early-stage start-up experience with a proven track record
    • Fundraising experience, especially with a focus on seed and pre-seed rounds
    • Ability to make a reasonable time commitment
    • Experience formulating an actionable scale-up strategy 
    • A good network of investor connections
    • Previous experience with grant funding  would be desirable but not essential
    • Good understanding of customer development process and product-market fit analysis 

     

    You’d be joining a small team with a thorough understanding of our product and a desire to learn and be part of a collaborative fundraising process.
