BuildPartner helps architects, builders and clients communicate better with each other by providing a single platform on which to manage building work from budgeting through to building.
The software provides a simple and intuitive way to check benchmark costs, create detailed cost plans and receive comparable quotes. These, amongst other features, streamline the process, significantly improving on the alternative which is Microsoft Excel.
While the product is novel and useful, perhaps the most unique feature of the business is the way we build and sell it.
We work closely with our customers, all of whom have the option to invest their time and connections into the company as equity 'partners'.
We have a user group of 1,000 architects, interior designers, property developers and builders, many of whom are shareholders.
Therefore sales, in this instance, is developing and maintaining the existing strong customer relationships and building on them via recommendation and word of mouth.
We do some digital marketing but our focus is on ensuring that our current customers are happy enough to recommend their connections.
Then when they do, we set them up and do the same thing.
- Friendly, personable nature and ability to work directly with users
- 2+ years of sales or customer support experience
- Experience in or interest in the construction industry
- Tracking leads and supporting them on to the product
- Doing demos and webinars for potential users
- Leveraging referrals to bring on new connections
Measures of success
We are moving out of the development phase, growing fast and the focus is shifting to building a warm, supportive and motivated sales and support team to help as many new users as possible.
