About Daye

Daye is a highly ambitious R&D startup on a mission to raise the standards in the gynae health industry. Our aim is to bridge the gender gap in medical research and product innovation by designing products rooted in scientific rigour and inspired by the female intuition. 

We are building a comprehensive gynae health platform that will address all areas of female health, from the first menstruation up to menopause, and beyond.

One of our key hypotheses is that tampons can be used for a lot more than just soaking up menstrual fluid. This is why we designed a pain-relieving tampon to help the 90% of women who suffer cramps; a tampon to detect STIs and HPV; and even one to treat common vaginal infections.

We are currently working on several new digital and physical products and are in the process of expanding to the US market. 

Daye is a highly complex venture, as the majority of our processes are vertically integrated. Our team of 35, based in London and Sofia, is changing the face of gynae health for the better, and we need exceptional talent to help achieve our mission. 

About the opportunity 

Over the next 12 months, our aim is to more than double our revenue, with direct sales accounting for the majority of this growth, so  you’ll be part of a company on an exceptionally high growth trajectory. You will work to drive customer acquisition through our paid channels, manage our plans to build on success in organic channels and take ownership of our content strategy - both onsite and on other owned channels. You’ll focus on optimising CAC to customers lifetime value through a combination of efficient acquisition, on-site optimisation and oversight into the CRM promotional strategies to ensure long term retention. 

The ideal candidate is a driven, curious and data-minded individual with a passion for female health. You will constantly be looking and testing new opportunities to reach a broad audience  and nurturing customers through the entire customer lifecycle. 

You will be reporting to the Head of Marketing & Retail and working alongside a small team of marketers to achieve the best results. This role is based in our UK office in London with flexible working and at least two office days per week.In this position, you will have the exciting opportunity to lead our digital marketing efforts at all stages of the funnel across different geographies. We will be launching in the US later in 2023. You’ll own the e-commerce domain including paid social media, SEO, search, affiliates, campaign analysis, growth KPI setting, tracking, and reporting. In addition, you will oversee the strategy and execution of conversion CRM journey to ensure that leads generated ultimately convert to long term customers driving LTV of our customers.

What we’re looking for 

A data-minded, strategic and content-savvy Digital Marketing & E-Commerce Manager with a passion for female health and innovation to lead our acquisition channels and digital optimisations efforts at Daye.

You will be an expert with a proven track record of driving growth and taking ownership of the e-commerce function in a consumer-facing venture. You will be able to demonstrate excellent team skills, contributing to a positive culture. In this role, you will also manage a Performance Marketing Exec with the likelihood of more direct reports within 2023.

With great interpersonal skills you will develop strong relationships across the team, ensuring that growth best practices and data-driven decision making sit at the core of Daye.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in digital marketing with experience delivering significant impact in a fast-paced, high growth consumer business, with strong experience in paid social channels.
  • Experience in a startup or entrepreneurial / high pressure environment is highly desirable
  • Extensive hands-on experience and technical knowledge across online channels covering: Paid Search, Paid Social, Affiliates, Programmatic, Referral
  • SEO experience including on the technical side, not just the content layer.
  • CRM and email marketing experience. Given the fact that customers often convert through our CRM programme, you will need to own the conversion strategy through email. 
  • Experience designing, building, and running experiments using a growth framework to prioritise and measure impact of work converting insights into action.
  • Demonstrable experience of significant conversion improvement through CRO and a fluency with tools such as Google Analytics and data visualisation platforms.
  • Confident manipulator and presenter of data, combining strong analytical thinking with storytelling ability that generates buy-in for your recommendations.
  • Expert communication, presentation, and material preparation skills required.
  • Impeccable attention to detail, and the ability to work within a regulated industry. We do not operate under the premise of “move fast and break things” or “throw spaghetti at the wall and see what sticks”. The desired candidate will be a thoughtful, deep thinker, who isn’t paralysed by indecision, but appreciates the importance of high quality work.

  • Having worked in a medical devices / regulated industry (e.g. financial services)

Responsibilities

  • Own the digital marketing to drive customer acquisition for Daye across all markets, products and services with support from the marketing and product teams.
  • Manage a Performance Marketing Exec and any agencies that we choose to engage.
  • Oversee the paid marketing budget to ensure a strong CAC:LTV ratio.
  • Work with an in-house creative team to develop highly effective, but regulatory compliant content plan for both paid and organic channels, bringing focus to key commercial messages whilst respecting the need to build the brand
  • Identify, test and scale new paid and growth tactics including promotions, developing innovative ways to find, attract and convert customers to deliver revenue growth. Daye has a unique brand identity, which we want to maintain and enhance, rather than cheapen and discard with cliched, overused marketing tactics. 
  • Develop and implement the CRM conversion and reactivation journeys. Email has traditionally been a strong touchpoint in the acquisition and reactivation process. Therefore, we imagine the customer acquisition manager owning these comms.
  • Ensure that Daye is at the forefront of attribution modelling, utilising the right data, reporting and tracking tools along with leading creative inhouse solutions to drive the optimal marketing mix.
  • Own and develop reporting on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis with a strong focus on the underlying unit economics.
  • Prepare growth strategy documents, frameworks, and guidelines for internal and external use.
  • Liaise closely with the ecommerce product manager to launch website conversion optimisations.
