    Pastificio Carleschi is the leading artisan dry pasta manufacturer in the UK. The business supplies to the food retail sector, large distribution and white label customers, as well as directly to consumers. We have full production chain visibility and our pasta is eaten by thousands of consumers every year.

    Job Purpose

    You will work closely with the founder and take an executive role in growing sales revenue from new and existing food stores, HO.RE.CA. and online marketplaces. 

    As Business Development Executive, you will:

    • research potential new leads and follow-up on incoming ones
    • communicate our value proposition to  prospective clients through a variety of mediums – this could include reaching out on social media, phoning, emailing or meeting in person
    • travel as required to further develop business and customer relations
    • keep on top of administrative tasks – such as updating CRM (customer relationship management) systems
    • attend trade shows and partner events to approach potential prospects
    • communicate with and inform existing clients in a way that supports an ongoing relationship
    • react quickly to sales opportunities and close deals

    We expect you to quickly:

    • develop strategic thinking to collaboratively shape the retail sales growth strategy alongside the founder
    • work with the founder to help align offerings with the needs of clients
    • keep current on knowledge and developments in the UK pasta market, understand relevant market trends and identify new business opportunities

    An outline of our process:

    The position is open to everyone, with or without experience, with or without an existing Clients portfolio.

    Interviewing: We will get in touch and if interested set up a first telephone interview with the founder. Based on your experience we could ask you to complete a task and carry a final video interview with us.

    Offer: If successful in the application process, we’ll make you a formal offer to join Pastificio Carleschi.

    Training: We will train you up where needed to maximize your chances of sales success - this includes sales training and customer relationship management, and in-depth technical training on pasta making, wheat farming and milling, food packaging, food safety and organic standards.
