There is an exciting opportunity for a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to take responsibility for overseeing the planning, development and execution of the organization's marketing and advertising initiatives. They will play a vital role in the company’s growth and have important responsibilities that range from creative influence to business strategy. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the CMO will work closely with other members of the executive team to ensure alignment with the overall company strategy. The CMO’s primary responsibility will be to generate revenue by increasing sales through successful marketing using market research, pricing, product marketing, marketing communications, advertising and public relations.
Key Responsibilities and Scope
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives
- Create and manage marketing budgets to ensure efficient use of resources and maximise ROI
- Lead the development of all marketing materials, including website content, social media campaigns, email marketing, and media buying
- Build and manage a high-performing marketing team to execute on marketing initiatives
- Conduct market research to stay up-to-date on industry trends and identify opportunities for growth
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with partners, influencers, and other key stakeholders in the personal development space
- Collaborate with Operations to ensure a seamless customer experience across all touchpoints
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics to track the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and make data-driven decisions to optimise results
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred
- 10+ years of experience in marketing, with a proven track record of success in developing and executing marketing strategies in the personal development space
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading and developing high-performing teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence key stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making
- Knowledge of digital marketing channels, including SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, and advertising
- Passion for personal development and a commitment to the company's mission and values
