Ecommerce Feed Developer - Java - Exciting huge project at Reverse

We are seeking a skilled Ecommerce Feed Developer to manage and optimize our product feed systems, including uploading products to Google Merchant Center and Microsoft Merchant Center. We currently manage a catalog of over 400 Million products across a large number of Merchant centers and so the scale of the systems is very unique which require innovative development to operate. The successful candidate will work directly with the CEO, a paid search analyst and an existing senior developer to work on a system that ensures the accurate and timely delivery of product data to our advertising platforms. There will be a large amount of experimenting with the most efficient methods to manage our product catalogs of this size, yet most of the work will be discussing and coding requests from PPC analysts for modifications of feeds on an ongoing basis. The candidate will also have the opportunity to work on a number of new ideas on the front end, including integrating products into comparison sites and marketplaces, then developing analytics to measure results.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize product feeds for Google Merchant Center and Microsoft Merchant Center, ensuring accuracy and completeness of product data.
  • Monitor feed performance and troubleshoot any issues with data quality, upload process or any related issues.
  • Develop and maintain custom scripts and tools to automate feed processing, with focus on improving efficiency and reliability of the systems.
  • Collaborate with other teams to identify opportunities to optimize feed performance, including improving product data quality, optimizing feed structure and design.
  • Stay current with latest trends and updates in Google Merchant Center and Microsoft Merchant Center, and proactively implement any necessary updates to our systems.
  • Ensure compliance with industry best practices and data feed requirements, including monitoring changes to data feed specifications and implementing updates.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in ecommerce feed management, including experience with Google Merchant Center and Microsoft Merchant Center.
  • Strong experience in Java and other programming languages commonly used for data processing and automation.
  • Experience with data manipulation, database design, and data architecture.
  • Strong understanding of data feed formats and standards, including XML, CSV, and JSON.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment.

This is a part-time position that could lead to full time and with the opportunity to work in an exciting established business with a start up feel.
