  • MindHug provides mental health and wellbeing solutions for companies in any sector, from small businesses to large corporations. Our service is designed to help the planning and implementation of tailored mental wellbeing strategies, covering a wide range of mainstream
    and alternative group therapies, workshops and events.

    Central to MindHug’s offering is the new MindHug App, a fundamental market disruptor that has been developed.

    We have also rendered initial interest from investors and have our very own customers. But we are not resting on our laurels; we are also exploring regulatory approval

    This person will own technology and product solutions.  As is customary with early leadership hires in startups, the role will initially be remunerated in generaous equity only transitioning to a paid position as we close our funding this year. As a result we are open to the role being part-time, and transitioning to full time.

    Job Description


    We are looking for a Chief Technology and Product Officer (CTO/CPO) to provide sound technical leadership in all
    aspects of the MindHug offering and in the short term focussing on the development and implementation of the MindHug App and associated infrastructure.


    As CTO you will communicate with our employees, stakeholders and customers to ensure our company’s technologies are implemented and used appropriately. You will be responsible for our complete technology infrastructure and development strategy.


    Strategic thinking and strong business acumen are essential in this role. We expect you to be well-versed in current technological trends and familiar with a variety of business concepts, particularly technology start-ups.

    Experience working at an early-stage technology startup would be ideal. You will be working closely with the other co-founders and be involved in other aspects of the development of the
    business and will play a decisive role in our future success.

    Responsibilities


    ● Develop technical aspects of MindHug’s technology strategy to ensure alignment with our goals
    ● Discover and implement new technologies that yield competitive advantage
    ● Help departments use technology profitably
    ● Supervise system infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency
    ● Build quality assurance and data protection processes
    ● Monitor KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance
    ● Use stakeholders’ feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology
    ● Communicate technology strategy to Mindhug partners and investors

    Requirements

    ● Proven experience as a CTO or similar technology leadership role
    ● Knowledge of technological trends to build strategy
    ● Understanding of budgets and business-planning
    ● Ability to conduct technological analyses and research
    ● Excellent communication skills
    ● Leadership and organisational abilities
    ● Strategic thinking
    ● Problem-solving aptitude
    ● Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field;
    graduate degree is a plus. Work experience in liue of degrees will also be considered. 
    ● Advanced software, mobile and web development skills.
    ● Excellent Product Management Skills
    ● Solid understanding of Dev-ops and security
    ● Ability to work in a variety of cloud computing environments i.e. Azure, AWS and GCP
    ● Solid grasp of Python, PHP, SQL, React, React Native, HTML, CSS
    ● Able to manage the product lifecycle
    ● Able to provide a view on UI/UX and translate it into product.
    ● Experience in mobile app design, preferably using React Native
    ● Confident in using data and insights to base designs on
