We are looking for a passionate Technical Support Lead to join our Technical Operations team. Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 pa. Reporting to: Rachel Holden, Technical Operations Team Lead.Location: London with work from home and flexible options.

We are currently rolling out thousands of sensors across the UK, Europe and beyond. Our technical operations team is responsible for the remote deployment, monitoring and management of our network of Internet of Things sensors. This includes a combination of using internal tools and navigating Linux operating systems to deploy software, calibrate new data feeds and validate their accuracy. Our L1 support team will be the first one to respond to any errors that appear in our system.
About you
You are someone with a natural curiosity or passion for technology. Ideally, you have a couple of years of experience in a Technical Support or Operations role, and eagerness to learn all about our technology. This role has team management responsibilities so we’re looking for candidates with previous management experience.
We’re passionate about developing all of our team members and there will be opportunities for this role to develop into many multi-disciplinary areas of the organisation alongside leadership development.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing queries from internal and externals sources
- Managing a team of technical support staff with a roughly 25:75 split of hands-on vs people management
- Gathering analytics and preparing reports for the TechOps Team Lead
- Opportunity to progress into different technical and non-technical functions of the company
- Occasional setup and validation and verification of our AI sensors
- Alert and notification management
What we need you to have:
- Expected 3 years of work experience, preferably within a technical environment, bonus if from a Technical Support function
- Desire and experience necessary to lead a busy team (1 year previous management experience expected)
- Interest or understanding of Internet of Things devices
- Interest in data and analytics
- Passion for technology for positive impact and change
- Experience with Linux is a plus!
