1437 Studios is founded by a serial entrepreneur and Academy Award winning creative technologist, and has secured seed funding from high-profile individual investors with experience from consulting, technology and advertising.
Our first product, Toi, is a playful AR app that re-conceptualises digital wearables. The garments in the app are interactive and reactive to user and digital stimuli, elevating self expression. Users add garments to their collection, and through this app we are exploring models of digital ownership, and developing interoperable technologies that will have even more applications in the future.
We have an MPV version available on the App Store (toi-app.com) that we are redeveloping with a view to a marketing-enabled launch in Q4, and we are looking for a creative software developers and/or technical artists with programming skills to help us develop the next iteration of the app.
The ideal candidate will be passionate would have both solid technical skills as well as a keen visual sense that they can apply to developing interactive visual effects, as well as tools.
- Knowledge of shader writing is essential, along with an understanding of computer graphics pipelines in general.
- Some experience with software development using physics apis (e.g. bullet) would be beneficial.
- Additionally, experience with tensorflow and other machine learning toolkits is desirable, particularly in a web context.
- Ideal candidate is someone who can independently solve problems and work with minimal supervision.
This is a paid, remote short-term position with the potential to turn into a longer term role.
