Experience all aspects of startup growth and learn how to become an entrepreneur! Here at The Entrepreneurs Collective We are currently recruiting for an intern with attitude. We are the fastest growing startup community in the UK and we are enjoying some great traction; with ~7000 founders and investors in our network already and we are looking for someone to join the team at this very exciting time.

The Entrepreneurs Collective is a members only community of founders, scale ups and angel & VC investors. Our aim is to help our members grow in any way we can, from connecting them with other founders to share their experiences, offering business reviews and mentorship, negotiating special offers on leading products and services, running key skills workshops and hosting pitch competitions in front of a panel of investors.

What we are looking for: People with a passion for business. Your number one aim will be able to help us to grow the business, and you will be part of fun and competitive team which is seeking to organise events, collaborate with businesses and promotions, maximise the benefits to our members, and of course grow our members.  If your looking to get experience, well we are a startup which believes in giving you the opportunity to try things. You will be a confident communicator, with strong communication skills and go-get attitude. You’ll need to be passionate about meeting new people and happy to muck in and get involved in a range of commercial initiatives as well as creative projects, content production and have experience of using social media and creative content to share.

Whilst you’ll be working Events Manager and directly with the CEO to organise, curate and deliver our exciting events range including:

  1. Pitch competitions
  2. Workshops
  3. Networking Lunches
  4. Socials 
  5. Fundraisers

This will include securing appropirate venue partners, researching and outreaching to the most promising tech startup founders, building relationships with Angels, VCs, Family Offices, sourcing speakers & thought leaders as well as maintaining the supporting administrative processes and acting as floor manager on the day.

You will be a key point of contact for some of the most innovative startups in the UK and will need to build and maintain a strong network of investors at all levels. Great communication skills, by email and in person are a must!

You’ll also have independence to work on many of small projects, hopefully allowing you to build your own portfolio of great work. While we do have our content and partnerships team the overlapping fields of our events and events marketing will mean you will are involved across these functions.

This role is best aimed at those looking to gain some experience, put their academic studies to practical use or maybe you have a startup idea yourself and would like to see how it’s done, as long as you are passionate about what ever you do then we want you!

You will be required to give us 3-5 days a week though we can be flexible to extent as to the time though this will generally be expected during 9-5:30 with regular evening events. The company is growing quickly and we are keen to take people with us on our exciting journey with us. We are currently enoying some great traction so we will look to hire interns who prove themselves to be asset to the company on a permenent basis.

DUTIES: You’ll be working in the heart of a startup with plenty of room to learn and try your hand in a variety of roles including, but not limited to:
–Events organisation, delivery and administration
- Marketing; traditional, digital (SEO, PPC, Social Media, email etc) and guerrilla/growth hacking!
- Sales; Lead generation, pipeline management and closing techniques
– Press, PR and Media Relations
– Fund raising and investor relations
– Creative content; images, video and text
– Technical; web development and optimisation
- Partneships and Collaborations
- Hubspot CRM managment and optimisation

SKILLS: This opportunity is for someone with the right attitude, but we do need some basics:

Technically proficient in terms of using office equipment
Excellent communicator
An enthusiasm for creating business and talking to people.
Confidence, enthusiasm and the ability to challenge conventional thinking
-Anything else you can bring the table is a plus! Sales Experience, HTML, CSS, PHP, Hubspot or CRM experience, SEO, PPC, Social Media Management/Advertising, Web Design, Wordpress, Photoshop, Final Cut, Adobe Suite etc. amazing, but by no means essential.
