Senior Full Stack Developer and Team Lead
A growing online events platform is seeking a new Full Stack Software Engineer and Team Lead to join our London-based team. Our mission is to grow and develop a web-based family events platform and ticketing service at loopla.com.
As well as researching and making high-level technical decisions, you would also manage a team of 3-4 engineers using Scrum or other Agile methodologies.
Experience
- Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent
- 5+ years’ experience in full-stack software development with particular expertise in JavaScript, React/JavaScript frameworks and PHP
- Experience with scalable APIs and with API security principles and authentication
- Thorough knowledge of agile principles, practices, and methods, particularly Scrum
- Practical experience of servant-leadership in agile teams and mentoring or leading a team
- Excellent organisational and facilitation skills
- Able to communicate effectively with team members
- Good English language level
If you have experience working in start-up environments that would be a bonus.
Tech Stack
Backend: JavaScript, Node.js, PHP, MVC
Frontend: Vue or React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JQuery
Database: MySQL, MongoDB
Other: GIT, Docker, Scrum (or other Agile methodologies)
Optional experience: Node.js, GCP, AWS, Python, React Native, TDD/BDD
Responsibilities
- Ensuring the smooth running of the platform
- Planning and architecting the development of new features
- Comfortable with custom-coding a variety of web applications
- Delivering projects to agreed deadlines, in good quality, and with testing methods in place
- Setting standards for clean and well-documented code, following best practices and coding standards
- Organising sprints and writing technical tasks along with acceptance criteria
- Managing and motivating the agile team of developers
Office & WFH
Based in London, you would be working alongside a talented and supportive development team. You will only be required to work in the offices 3 days a week, allowing work-from-home flexibility on the remaining 2 days.
Performance Bonus
You will receive a yearly bonus opportunity of up to 10% of your annual salary. The actual amount depends on your performance and the platform's.
