Job Brief
This is a newly created position driven by Moneybox’s exceptional growth. The Head of FP&A will be instrumental in delivering best-in-class forecasting and planning, as well as business partnering to both our Mission (business areas) and Functional Teams. It’s not just about delivering a budget, it’s about leveraging technology to allow the business to have core KPIs at its fingertips: Assisting in and challenging core capex decisions, helping set the strategic direction, and delivering the quality coaching to get the best out of your team.

What You’ll Do
Being a Head of at Moneybox doesn’t just mean you own and manage your function, it means you play a vital role in helping define strategy through cross-functional steering committees, quarterly planning meetings, and management committees. Moneybox has thrived owing to its strong culture; as a Head of, you are core in helping maintain this culture through living and promoting the Moneybox values.
The role is a trusted advisor to the Finance Director, it also has direct exposure to our Chief Executive Officers, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Platform Officer. This role will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- End-to-end ownership of the FP&A function, including managing and being a role model for a team of 2
- Core business partner to the FD and C-Suite in the development of company strategy, this includes potential M&A, fundraising activities, and IPO readiness
- Supporting your team to deliver effective business partnering to core missions (business areas) and functions
- Owing to the growth of the business, you will assess and question the capex plans for the missions, and with the support of your team track the plan against actual performance
- Ownership of the annual budget process, liaising with; insight (data analytics), commercial, and missions
- Further, you will drive the monthly and quarterly re-forecasting process
- Overseeing the ongoing development of the long-range business model
- Seek to leverage technology to increase the efficiency, output, and accuracy of analysis and insight – we would like our functions to self-serve financial and non-financial KPIs
- As a highly regulated business, we need to continuously review our regulatory modelling, and assist in submissions to our regulators

Experience and Skills
- A relevant qualification such as an ACA, CA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA
- A minimum of eight years of experience within an accounting / FP&A function
- Exceptional modelling and analytical skills, and ideally have implemented an FP&A modelling tool
- Experience working with SQL, Databricks, and Power BI
- Previous experience in M&A, IPO, or fundraising is desirable
- Experienced in managing and supporting the development of a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Experienced in communicating and presenting to senior management
