Note from the founder

Quizgecko is looking to hire its first employee. The company is growing rapidly and has plans to launch new products soon. Now is an ideal time to join: the product has market fit and real revenue, yet the team will remain exceptionally small, allowing you to work directly with the founder.

You'll need firsthand experience with Laravel to hit the ground running. Beyond that, I'm seeking someone who is highly resourceful, quick to learn, and adaptable.

I aim to keep the team small and agile, which means you'll be required to wear multiple hats. You'll be responsible for testing your own code, defining specifications, designing features, deploying, and directly communicating with our users to ship at the pace necessary for our success.

Fully remote; UK preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Feature Development: Build, test, and deploy new features, primarily focusing on end-to-end functionality.
2. API Management: Develop and manage RESTful API integrations for internal use and third-party services.
3. Data Management: Work with MySQL and PostgreSQL for data storage and query optimization.
4. Frontend Excellence: Utilize TailwindCSS and AlpineJS to create intuitive, responsive UI/UX.
5. User support: We're small, so everyone does user support. This keeps us close to the users. 

Technical Requirements:

- Strong experience in Laravel, PHP. Absolutely essential.
- Proficiency in MySQL
- Frontend skills in AlpineJS and TailwindCSS
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs
- Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts is a plus
