About you

You’ll be joining the Finance team as an Interim Financial Reporting Accountant. Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, you’ll be a part of a fast-growing business that is challenging the market and doing things differently.

Joining on a three-month fixed term contract during year-end (Jan to March 2024), you’ll be taking the key responsibility of supporting the delivery of the annual reporting and accounts (ARA) as well as the statutory audit process of the ClearBank group (UK Bank and Holding Group for the 2023 financial year). This includes year-end consolidation, producing the primary financial statements and disclosure notes, in addition to supporting the preparation of the overall ARA comprising the front-section strategic report. You’ll also assist with the management of the external audit deliverables.

You’ll be used to working in a high-pressure financial control and reporting environment, with the ability to adapt quickly and execute strong controls and robust processes in a fast-paced environment.

You will be

• Preparing the consolidation workpapers of the group and standalone year-end financial statements and disclosures.
• Supporting the Financial Reporting Manager in drafting the financial statements of ClearBank UK and ClearBank Group Holdings (consolidated group and standalone) within a tight reporting timeframe
• Working with the Financial Control and FP&A teams to provide key data and information required for relevant financial statement disclosures. Assisting with co-ordinating, compiling and reviewing the full glossy ARA for ClearBank UK
• Co-ordinating the delivery of audit deliverables as required across the Finance & Treasury team
• Carrying out accounting technical research for applicable areas to enhance accounting policies of the group and craft relevant, robust financial statement disclosures in line with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Supporting the conversion from IFRS to limited-scope, US GAAP-compliant financial information of ClearBank UK and ClearBank Group Holdings

Requirements

What we are looking for

• ACA or ACCA qualified chartered accountant with a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience in industry
• Background in Banking or Financial Services
• Experience in consolidation, financial control and statutory financial reporting
• IFRS experience is essential, UK and US GAAP are desirable
• Excellent data analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to challenge and improve processes and procedures
