We are seeking a Lead Developer with a passion for EdTech and a commitment to special education. You will spearhead the development of Speakleap, an innovative communication aid app for children with special needs.

Note this position is an equity-only position at first, and can effectively be treated as a side project.

We have initial designs for the MVP and connections with schools to run usability tests. 
 

Responsibilities:
* Lead the technical development and integration of OpenAI's API.
* Build, test, and refine the MVP.
* Ensure security and privacy best practices.
* Manage backend infrastructure and data analytics.
* Establish processes for continuous feedback and improvement.


Requirements:
* Proficiency in iOS/Android development, experience with hybrid models is a plus (due to the software used in schools, and the functions required that only native can solve).
* Familiarity, or a willingness to learn, with AI integration, machine learning, and natural language processing.
* Strong background in secure app development.
* Excellent problem-solving and team leadership skills.
