We are Ordinary Better, an innovative startup specialising in building and launching online and retail brands.


Our brands are: raindropclean.com - a plastic-free soap company - and gltea-1.com - a yerba mate metabolic health shot.


We’re a small but mighty, fully remote team based in the UK.


The Role


We’re looking for an experienced Retail Business Development Manager who can take our promising D2C business and expand it into retail spaces.


Initially, we’re looking for a contractor for 2 days a week, but we’re flexible for the right candidate.


  1. Build a retail strategy and advise the product team on how to adjust our product portfolio to appeal to buyers


  1. Get retail space in the areas identified in the strategy as key opportunities. This could be supermarkets or hotels and cafes


  1. Work with our other teams - from marketing (to help build awareness) to accounting (to help them manage cash flow and stock timelines)


Salary:


  1. £500/month basic pay
  2. 10% commission of all retail sales referred


Requirements:


  1. Experience with buyers at major retailers, ideally in the health and beauty or drinks categories
  2. Creative, collaborative and resourceful approach to working
