As a Senior Product Operations Manager - API, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success and smooth operations of our API products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including enablement, technical operations, support, and product marketing, to drive the go-to-market strategy, improve customer experience, and gather insights for product enhancement. If you have a strong background in product strategy, operations, and customer engagement, along with expertise in APIs, this is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with enablement, technical operations, support, and product marketing teams to maintain accurate and up-to-date customer-facing API documentation.

• Analyze and address the root causes of common questions around the API, ensuring that relevant documentation is updated to provide comprehensive help guides.

• Take a proactive role in incubating Minimum Viable Product (MVP) features, initially assisting with customer support and gradually transitioning the support responsibilities to the wider team.

• Act as a point of contact for the Go-to-Market (GTM) teams, providing guidance on retro-compatibility challenges and facilitating smooth product launches.

• Utilize statistical analysis and gather customer feedback to derive actionable insights that drive key product metrics and improvements.

• Engage directly with clients to understand their needs, collaborate on building new features, and incorporate their feedback into the product backlog to enhance the overall customer experience.

• Contribute to the development of high-quality product requirements, occasionally leveraging tools like Figma, diagramming, or wire-framing to effectively communicate requirements to the development team.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in a product, strategy, or operations role, preferably in the technology industry.

• Proven track record of working directly with customers in a complex B2B environment, with a focus on building strong relationships and understanding customer pain points.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective engagement with internal and external stakeholders.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.

• In-depth knowledge of APIs, including the ability to read and interpret API documentation.

• Proficiency in analytical thinking and query skills to derive insights from data.

• Proficiency with BI tools (SQL, Looker, Snowflake, Datadog, Excel/Sheets) and superior presentation skills.

• Prior experience in a fast-paced, product-driven tech company.

• Domain expertise in the HR or accounting/bookkeeping space (not a requirement, but a plus).

• Product design and user experience (UX) skills to contribute to the enhancement of the overall user interface and customer experience (not a requirement, but a plus).
