This is a laboratory-based role focusing on operational support. The candidate will report to our Laboratory Manager. Applicants should have experience of a support role within a molecular laboratory and enjoy working in a dynamic, collaborative, team environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Contribute to the smooth running of the laboratories.
• Perform general laboratory duties including stock control, consumable ordering, and laboratory housekeeping.
• Receipt and handling of Goods in and sample reception.
• Data entry onto and use of LIMS system.
• Laboratory waste management.
• Calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Preparation of laboratory reagents.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
• General administrative tasks.
• Any other tasks required by the Laboratory Manager

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Capable of working independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Committed to following established protocols and procedures.
• Enthusiastic about contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
• GCSE in Science or equivalent qualification.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office and computer databases.
• Prior experience working in a molecular laboratory is advantageous.
