As we continue to expand, we are looking for a passionate and creative Video Production Intern to join our team and help us capture the essence of the culture we represent.

Position Overview:

The Video Production Intern will play a key role in bringing CULTUR FM’s dynamic vision to life. You will assist the production team in creating compelling video content that showcases the energy, creativity, and community of Afrobeats and Amapiano culture. This role is perfect for someone with a strong understanding of video production, particularly with Blackmagic cinema cameras, who is eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced, creative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Camera Operation:
  • Assist in setting up and operating Blackmagic cinema cameras to capture the vibrant energy of CULTUR FM events and content.
  • Manage camera gear, ensuring all equipment is maintained and ready for use during shoots.
  • Monitor and adjust camera settings to capture high-quality footage that reflects the dynamic nature of our brand.
• Pre-Production:
  • Collaborate with the team on storyboarding, scriptwriting, and shot planning, with a focus on showcasing the unique aspects of Afrobeats and Amapiano culture.
  • Participate in location scouting for events and shoots, ensuring the settings enhance the visual storytelling.
• Lighting and Exposure:
  • Assist in setting up lighting equipment to create the desired atmosphere for CULTUR FM’s content.
  • Apply knowledge of the exposure triangle (aperture, shutter speed, ISO) to achieve the best possible image quality, capturing the vibrancy of the music and events.
• Audio Recording:
  • Assist with setting up and monitoring audio equipment to capture live performances and event soundscapes.
  • Ensure audio quality is clear and balanced, enhancing the overall production value.
• Post-Production:
  • Assist in editing video content using software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar, focusing on dynamic cuts that reflect the energy of our brand.
  • Help with color grading and sound design to finalize video projects that align with CULTUR FM’s aesthetic.
  • Organize and manage media files, ensuring all content is easily accessible for future use.
• Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with CULTUR FM’s production team to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high production standards.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, offering creative ideas and feedback to elevate our content.
• Other Duties:
  • Support on-set logistics during events and shoots, including setting up equipment and managing props.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to video production as needed.

Qualifications:

• Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Film, Media Production, or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in operating Blackmagic cinema cameras.
  • Strong understanding of the exposure triangle (aperture, shutter speed, ISO).
  • Familiarity with video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of lighting and audio equipment.
• Creative Skills:
  • A keen eye for composition, framing, and visual storytelling.
  • Ability to think creatively and contribute original ideas to video projects.
• Other Skills:
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
