What you’ll do:

• Grow a new ML team in a new AI-focused tech company.
• Select the stack of technologies for our data pipelines and ML models.
• Build new end-to-end generative models.
• Analyse large amounts of diverse data, including text corpora, images, videos, audios, and test results, to build our prediction and generation models.
• Build data integration and data analysis pipelines and use them in production.
• Work in a cross-functional team and communicate with backend engineers and product managers.
• Create new types of tests for language learners to gather more test results, analyse them, and build prediction models based on these results.
• Optimise and fine-tune machine learning models for performance, scalability, and accuracy.

Skills needed:

• PyTorch

• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Problem-solving
• Strong understanding of neural networks, CNNs, RNNs, LSTMs, and transformers
• Expertise in using tools such as Pandas, NumPy, and Apache Spark for data manipulation and analysis
• Requirements gathering
• Architecture planning (trade-offs management)
• Estimation skills (time, users, traffic, money, algorithmic complexity, cache, etc.)
• Clean code practices
• Experience in code review
• Great knowledge of NLP algorithms
• Proficiency in using Git for version control and collaborative development
• Experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs for integrating machine learning models with applications
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools for efficient model deployment and monitoring
• Team leading / management

Skills nice to have:

• Speak or learn to speak more than one language
• Familiarity with reinforcement learning
• Knowledge-sharing experience (tech talks, articles, YouTube videos, etc.)
• Experience (even non-production) with different types of programming languages: interpreted, compiled, with garbage collection, manual memory management, reference counting memory management, etc.

Hiring process:

As a startup, it is crucial for us to hire highly skilled professionals. Our interview process consists of two online interviews and a test assignment.
