Background

Sporting Mouth enables sports fans to challenge each other’s sporting judgement on the outcome of Premier League football games. Available as a free app on IOS, with Android and Web versions scheduled for Summer 2015, Sporting Mouth appeals to the majority of fans who don't bet, but enjoy sporting competition with their peers.

Instead of betting for money, users can challenge each other’s predictions with a variety of social wagers, with stakes including things fans tend to consume, such as food and drink products as well as sporting content and entertainment services. They can also choose to make social forfeits as wagers, such as the loser having to wear the team shirt of their arch rivals or make a charitable donation.

Sporting Mouth launched just before the FIFA World Cup, supported by a global partnership with Microsoft and Nokia. It has additional commercial agreements with leading retailers, including Pizza Express, Waterstones, Marks and Spencer, Debenhams, Kitbag and HMV.

The Role

Having launched as a native app Sporting Mouth now wants to pursue a multi-platform development strategy and is looking to find the right technology partner to join the core team and evolve the company's offer. Experience in apps is obviously essential and experience and interest in sport an obvious asset.
