Our Muslim focused Online Magazine is dedicated to bringing viewers from all over the world interested in diverse Muslim-related news. We are looking for hard-working, dedicated, individuals to curate news pertaining to the Muslim world.
We act as a conduit for writers who wish to gain experience, knowledge and published work. You write or film for us, and we market your work to a HUGE Muslim-interested worldwide audience, allowing you to use us as a stepping-stone for your writing exposure.
To have edited and been professionally published for an online magazine gives you a huge advantage in the job market.
We are seeking savvy, sassy wordsmiths to join our growing content team.. You will have a knack and love for writing, top notch social media skills and strong organisational and managerial skills.
About the Company
The magazine is a non-sectarian, non-partisan, non-political hub for news on anything relating to the Muslim world. We highlight Muslim achievement in a large number of areas, Muslim history, Muslim-interest stories, Muslim cuisine and travel, celebrating the breadth and diversity of the Ummah.
All articles will also feed into our partner film production company, giving you the opportunity to contribute to a growing channel celebrating all things related to the Muslim world!
You will work closely with our contributors who will submit a minimum of one story per day relating to your category. You will verify their work before publishing on a daily basis.
Additionally, as Curator/Editor, you will have the flexibility to write for any sub-category in your category, as and when you’d like. You will ensure that all your contributor’s articles abide by our policy on non-sectarianism, non-political, non-partisanship.
You can allow contributions of many forms (interview, summary stories, original work, videos), but must make sure all statements are factual and verified!
Increasing traffic and expanding the magazine’s overall reach
Managing social media in relation to content promotion
Managing a sizeable team of contributors (depending on category) and ensuring the timely publication of articles on a daily basis
A passion for Muslim news in your field
A strong, independent work ethic
The ability to stick to deadlines and to hold others to deadlines
The ability to work independently and from home
Interest in using data to optimise/scale blog marketing strategies and tactics
Skills in Hubspot or similar marketing automation software (preferred but not essential)
Previous marketing and content creation experience (internships included)
