Product Designer

As a Product Designer, your objective will be to craft great mobile products and services with users at the heart. You’ll be able to confidently contribute to a project’s design activities from kickoff through to delivery. This role will give you the opportunity to conduct crucial research data analysis; producing deliverables to highlight exciting insights for the team and stakeholders. You’ll be ambitious and passionate about design’s role in product development and its potential to solve real-world problems!

As part of the wider Design team, you’ll be working on products and services for some of the world’s biggest brands including the likes of TFL, Unilever, Ford. You’ll be involved in the entire cycle; from planning through to execution becoming an ever-present advocate for the user. Your interest and focus will be in human-centred visual design, supported by a broad knowledge of common user interface design patterns, iconography, typography and colour theory.

You will be:

- Contributing to a project’s design workstream end-to-end, such as planning and participating in research activities with help from the wider team.
- Speaking to the product’s end users (through interviews or contextual research) to understand their needs and goals.
- Attending end-of-sprint reviews with the team and presenting your work to clients.
- Working collaboratively with brilliant Designers, Engineers, Strategists and other specialists to iterate and improve your designs.
- Delivering high quality work on time, setting your own work agenda and helping others on your team to do the same.
- Contributing to the Design team by helping identify and interview great new team mates
- Actively involved within the Design community; interest in reading books, articles and attending meetups.

You must have:

- Product Design and client-facing industry experience, ideally within an agency setting.
- An inquisitive mind and a keen problem solver who likes taking on challenging problems and conflicting objectives, and working collaboratively to find a solution.
- A strong portfolio of work demonstrating a variety of tools and the problem & approach taken, not just visuals.
- Knowledge or ideally experience of working within an agile, software development environment.
- Experience using Adobe CC Suite, Sketch, Keynote and prototyping tools of your choice.
- An eagerness to continuously improve and learn; either through books, articles, meetups etc.
