QA Manager (Web / Mobile)

at Laundrapp in London

Laundrapp is a truly unique environment. We mix convenience with high quality cleaning and since our successful UK launch in 2015; we’ve grown to over 100 towns and cities across the UK. Now, we’re ready to take on the rest of the world too. We're looking for a talented and experienced QA professional to help us create and run processes that will maintain extremely high levels of quality across our products. As our QA guru you will be responsible for the full test life cycle of our mobile and web offerings for both our consumer and internal products. You will be effective in requirements capture and take a test driven approach to helping convey those requirements to the development team.

Designing and testing applications across environments is a tricky business, especially when creating for native user experience. We pride ourselves in our ability to hire the best possible talent so native look and feel, swish transitions and animations are implemented to the best the platform has to offer.
As our product has evolved it has now become essential to free up the development team from the added role of creating and maintaining test suites in order to automated the testing of new releases. Manual testing is performed by all our staff to a prescribed set of test cases, split by platform. Coordination of these tests is performed by the lead developer for each platform, as is the responsibility for ordering the pizza.
This means that our Mobile/Web QA Manager will be a key owner of candidate releases, be responsible for early bug finding and reporting. We are seeking a diligent tester who has the discipline to manage the end-to-end QA process. For example, ensuring every bug discovered outside the existing test scripts get a test case to avoid future regression.

• Be responsible for the full test lifecycle across all our products
• Design, implement and maintain automated test suites across all areas
• Understand new features in great depth and be part of planning from inception
• Create and carry out test plans which result in detailed and actionable bug reports
• Identify trends in reported incidents over time and work with the team to mitigate these issues in the future
• Report on levels of quality and product readiness
• Help shape the QA processes used by the entire team

• 4+ years in a software testing role - preferably testing consumer Android, iOS and web products
• Experience with Android, iOS and Web architectures
• Incredible attention to detail
• Great verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in diagnostics of technical issues, for instance, examining API responses and debug information
• Desirable - Experience of working with testing tools and environments such as Selenium, WebDriver, Ruby/Calabash, Cucumber and mobile test environments such as Appium and Xamarin TestCloud
