At Grind, we’ve been serving coffee, food and cocktails to a killer soundtrack since 2011 when we opened Shoreditch Grind on Old St. Roundabout. Since then, we’ve expanded to seven, soon to be nine, sites across London, as well as a recording studio and a state-of-the-art coffee roastery in Shoreditch. 2016 has been a big year for us. We launched the Grind App, opened three new sites as well as doubling the size of our flagship restaurant and moved in to our new HQ, coffee roastery and training lab in the heart of Shoreditch. Bloomberg also named us one of their Business Innovators of the year, while Time Out called the our app an “Uber for Lattes. We’re confident that 2017 will be even bigger and we’d like you to be a part of it.

We are looking for an office assistant to support our HR, Finance and Senior Management teams from our busy Shoreditch HQ. This is a real generalist role and will literally be doing a little of everything around the office, so the ideal candidate is proactive, organised and detail driven. This person will be ambitious, joining a small team of driven individuals with a start-up mentality, and they’ll probably drink a lot of coffee.

-Office management such as up-keep, stationery, phone and door enquiries, meetings minutes and general organisation
-Ad hoc admin support for Executive team such as filing, diary management and processing documents
-Finance assistance such as posting journals, processing sales invoices and related credit control activities
-HR admin such as managing starter and leaver information, maintaining the employee database and payroll processing
-Posting job adverts and co-ordinating CVs, induction support and helping plan and run recruitment activities

-You should be seriously organised with a keen eye for detail, proactive and autonomous; we’re not the kind of office where someone will be telling you what to do every two minutes, so you need to be able to manage your own workload and motivate yourself
-‪Strong computer skills (Outlook, Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Google Docs, Adobe Programs)
-To work with us you’ll need a positive attitude and a real hunger to learn, we’re a sociable, young and ambitious office and want the same from you
-Like coffee, food and cocktails? We certainly do, so being passionate about our product is essential
-Previous experience in an administrative role, HR or Finance experience is helpful, however we are looking for the right personality fit so are more interested in you as a person. We can provide the necessary training to get you there

This will be a full time position, M-F based in our HQ in Shoreditch, however some travel to sites and work outside of normal hours is expected. Flexibility is a must, and that works both ways so if you need to change up your hours for a dentist appointment we are a very accommodating bunch.
