Front End Developer
Spacehive is an exciting venture backed social start-up that’s bringing the crowdfunding revolution to the civic world. We’re leading a transformation from a top-down way of shaping our towns and cities to a genuinely people powered approach that unlocks innovation and creativity.
The role will be joining the growing development team.
We are at the last stage of finishing the upgrade of the platform to new technologies and responsive pages and are about to start working on the new features required for the next stage of Spacehive growth. Also due to new partnerships from companies and local authorities more work is in the pipeline for the site and the development team is growing to cope with the demand.
We use ASP.Net MVC and Web API for the backend and Visual studio but also do quite a lot of development in frameworks such as Angular, Angular 2 and bootstrap.
We are open to suggestions on new technology and regularly decide as development team to integrate new tech to our stack.
Coding new front end features, re-factoring and bug-fixing
Taking part in estimation sessions and technical planning.
Take the lead on the HTML and CSS side of the platform.
Taking active interest in personal development.
Skills and requirements:
2 Years + Experience of development experience.
Excellent spoken and written communication skills
Excellent HTML 5 and CSS 3 skills. Processors (LESS/SASS) are a plus
Automation tools like grunt or gulp
Experience with consuming restful API’s.
Passion for front end development.
Some C# Knowledge
Understanding of principles behind MVC ASP.Net.
Bit bucket / Git knowledge. (If you have used SVN or TFS we can train the candidate on Git)

We would like the candidate to start in February.
The role is permanent, Hours are typically 9.30 – 5.30pm Mon – Fri.
Location Shoreditch (Second Home)
