About Tailster

Tailster is a fast growing pet care startup with the aim of connecting dog owners with local trusted, vetted dog boarders, dog sitters and dog walkers. We aren't just about dogs, we cater for cats, guinea pigs, unicorns - anything with a tail, you name it.

We are growing rapidly with pet owner requests to our site who want to use our tracked GPS dog walking service and need help finding someone to care for their pets of different shapes and sizes.

We’ve closed another new round of funding to help meet the demand and are now looking to hire talented, hungry pet loving individuals who can help us grow.

A team of dog lovers (and cats!), we have a great office in Central London near Oxford Street and are expanding rapidly to meet demand.

This is a great opportunity for a smart, talented and ambitious person, who is looking for an opportunity to learn about all aspects of day-to-day startup operations. You’ll also have great exposure to world of early-stage start-ups, and to share the excitement as we grow week by week.


You will be – -

Methodical, diligent and able to learn new processes quickly –

One of the first port of call on customer service requests - you'll be able to handle what our customers want to throw at you- via multiple channels - taking inbound calls, making outbound calls to deal with customers with queries, via facebook, email, and all the other channels

Whilst you are dealing with these inbound requests and any other tasks fired at you by the team, you'll also get to shape our social media strategy, be involved in creating content across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, our blog and more. You'll have ideas, we aren't scared to try things - if numbers and KPIs move in the right direction, we will throw more time and resource at it, and you can lead that too.

You'll be passionate about pets, know about all the latest cat gifs, and dog memes - and be able to write articulately for our blog - creating and spreading pet related content (both fun and serious)

You'll be able to handle lots of different things at once, be able to prioritise and make sure that our customer support email hits and remains near 'inbox zero'.

You'll be interested in why we do things, and be able to participate with ideas and roll your sleeves up to help us with our aim of being a recognised brand that can help any of the 54% of the UK households that need to know about Tailster.

We’d also like you to :

- be an animal lover – have a sense of humour and be sociable – someone we get on with, we have a small but growing team that enjoys being social

- be comfortable with google docs, excel and have an organised methodical approach

- to demonstrate that you have had customer service experience dealing with customers in a fast moving environment - by email, live chat or phone.

- be inquisitive, willing to learn and have ideas. We're a small and fast growing team and everyone needs to pull together.

- have a good sense of humour and be someone we get on with.

We are currently looking for interns (PAID) to start as soon as possible with the view to you becoming a full time employee once you have proven yourself. We are hiring in multiple roles, and hiring asap.
