UX/Product Designer

ClickMechanic is looking for an experienced and versatile UX/Product designer to join the our team.
As a UX/Product Designer, you will be responsible for designing new features and interactions for our website, building prototypes and working with the Product and Tech teams to launch them. You’re an exceptional designer with experience in UX research to support your design development. You’ll value delivering an engaging and highly functional site experience with excellent design and aesthetic standards. You’ll be the owner of our digital style guide, developing and improving our digital identity across all digital touch-points (digital marketing, site experience etc.)

The preferred candidate will have significant experience of UX/UI design. You’ll be able to understand customer problems, research industry best practice and create designs to improve the customer experience that and enhance the ClickMechanic brand. You’ll have a proven track record of collaborating with stakeholders across the Product and Tech team to bring your designs to life.

UX design - Design and development of new features and feature improvements with the Product Manager
Prototyping - Develop and test prototypes to ensure high quality of feature development
Design implementation - You’ll work with the tech team to implement your designs
Style guide - You’ll own our digital style guide and ongoing development and improvement
UX Research - Use of UX research tools and best practice to inform your designs

Skills and experience
Strong digital design experience, possibly with a degree in related discipline
Experience in tools such as Sketch, InVision, Balsamiq, and/or Photoshop
Experience in icon design
Extensive portfolio across range of clients and industries of digital UX work across range of clients
Intellectually curious with an ability to understand complex problem and develop creative solutions
Experience working with tech teams to bring your designs to life
Designing mobile-first experiences
