This role is all about coaching and enabling the Product and Technology teams. This role helps to build an environment where continuous improvement of the development process is part of the main focus; an environment where everyone’s common goal is to deliver outstanding software as fast as possible while having fun.

What you’ll be doing

  • You will be responsible for ensuring the consistent on-time delivery of high quality technology and the ongoing management of these in production.

  • You will be coaching several agile teams made up of Developers, QA, Devops & Systems, ensuring they are using Agile best practices such as TDD and BDD, and ensuring the teams are continuously improving.

  • You will be working closely with business Product Owners to ensure the requested features match up with the delivered features.

  • You will facilitate the progress of the team and be able to motivate teams and foster a collaborative, empowering and productive environment. This involves being an excellent communicator with the ability to work well with team members, technologists, product owners and act as an exemplary representative to the business.

  • Management or have a wealth of experience working as part of agile teams within a technical environment.

  • You will be full of enthusiasm and a have high degree of personal drive and motivation. Problem solving will be an important skill as well as being able to resolve conflict by facilitating discussions and working through different approaches.

Responsibilities & Activities

  • Creating project plans
  • Facilitate planning games, retrospectives and other agile ceremonies
  • Be a constant source of agile and product information and direction for the team
  • Drive forward continuous improvement within the team
  • To ensure the adoption of agile methods within the team 2
  • To provide management reporting on the delivery status of your area. Balancing the requests for a defined delivery date, from stakeholders, with the agile delivery method.
  • Being aware of, and ensuring appropriate communication of, any delivery issues, dependencies and or risks to the roadmap.

Skills we need

  • A proven record of successful Agile project deliveries.
  • Experience of working within an Agile environment.
  • Understanding of reporting mechanisms.
  • Experience of coaching, mentoring, workshop facilitation and structures problem solving.
  • Exceptional communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge and experience of a wide range of best Agile software development methods (scrum, kanban, lean etc).
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders from all levels of the business.
  • Good understanding of budgets and possess commercial acumen.
  • Experience of online product development essential.
