We’re also the proud creators of Voltz, an energy-switching app. It’s had phenomenal feedback on the app stores (5*) and has helped people to save on their energy bills.
We use our deal comparison software ourselves, but it’s also used by companies like Dixons Carphone, Sainsburys, Game, The Guardian …

Right now, we’re in the midst of some big changes which include:
Migrating our services to AWS.
Redesign of our product suite
Scaling up our technology team.
Integrating into the wider Dixons Carphone Group.

Central to our success has been the creation of our software products that assist in the sale of complex products online, in-store, on mobiles and over the phone. Our design team play a crucial role in keeping our products looking fresh and intuitive to use.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to play an important role in exploring software design in a rapidly expanding business. The influence of the role is wide-reaching within the company, where creative problem-solving and initiative is rewarded with increased autonomy. While Simplifydigital is part of the larger Dixons Carphone Group, you will be working within a small design team and closely collaborate with fellow designers and particularly developers to achieve your vision of the user-experience for software in B2C and B2B models.
This will involve:
Translate business concepts into wireframes and mockups that lead to intuitive user experiences.
Facilitate product visions by researching, conceiving, wireframing, sketching, prototyping, and mocking up user experiences for digital products.
Design and deliver user journeys, wireframes, mockups and visual designs, from low to high fidelity and optimised for a range of devices and interfaces.
Identify UX problems and devise elegant solutions with lean design.
Take a user-centred design approach and rapidly test and iterate your designs.
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
You’ll have:
2 or more years UX experience
A strong portfolio of UX case studies and UI solutions
Experience in designing single-page or web applications
Expertise in UX software such as InVision, Zeplin, Sketch, Pixate, XD, Principle, Axure
Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions
A solid grasp of user-centred design and testing methodologies, subsystems, and usability and accessibility concerns.
Ability to work divergently, proposing multiple solutions for any given design challenge
Ability to iterate your designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients.
Be excited about collaborating and communicating closely with teams and other stakeholders via a distributed model to regularly deliver design solutions for approval.
Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism.
Be passionate about all things UX and other areas of design and innovation.
Research and showcase knowledge in the industry’s latest trends and technologies.
Bonus points
If you’ve worked in an Agile environment
Have an understanding of atomic design principles
Experience with living style documents & pattern libraries
