at Takumi in London

(₤22000 - ₤25000 per year)

Company: Takumi
Location: London
Role: PR & Events Coordinator - apply with a covering letter and CV.
Salary: £22-25,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Type: Permanent role

Takumi is the largest Instagram influencer network in Europe. The platform makes it easy for Brands and Agencies to work effortlessly with large numbers of micro-influencers on social media campaigns. Having launched in 2015, Takumi has offices in London, Berlin, New York and Reykjavik. Thanks to rapid growth, we’re expanding the team to keep up with the client demand. As a result, we are looking for a self-motivated Events and PR coordinator to join our team in London.

Responsibilities include:

1. Events: You will lead events from start to finish; from booking venues and organising supplies, to ensuring that everything runs smoothly on the day. As an assertive self-starter you will be excited by the challenges ahead and ready to get your hands dirty. You will work with our PR agencies and our own contacts to source speakers and event content. You will also lead on publicising the events, with experience working across social and digital media. You will be given the flexibility to apply your expertise and knowledge to all aspects of the event lifecycle – you should be brimming with creative ideas. You will organise the venue, manage invitations, RSVP’s and guest lists. You will work with our four local offices in New York, London, Berlin and Reykjavík to pull off high quality events. You will manage and extract value from events so we can repurpose video, photos and retarget blog posts on the event topics and talks.
2. PR: You will manage our PR agencies on a day-to-day basis. We decided to use PR from day one as a basis for our marketing activities. There is considerable and growing interest in influencer marketing worldwide and Takumi has established a thought leadership role in many key markets. We want to continue to manage this and work alongside great PR agencies to make sure we are keeping and extending this lead, especially in new markets we enter.
3. Case Studies and content: A big part of our B2B marketing is managing good looking documents and case studies. We want to deepen and widen our reservoir of content. You’ll work alongside our head of product and senior sales to produce and maintain these documents along with up-to-date data, testimonials and surveys.

The ideal candidate

• Wants to work in a fast growing company
• Is an active contributor on Instagram (but you doesn’t have to be an influencer)
• Has a T-shaped knowledge and experience base in marketing; meaning none of the responsibilities above intimidate you, but at least one is what you would consider an area of expertise

Desired Skills and Experience Requirements

• A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar role
• A self-starter who is confident in executing events with minimal supervision
• Experience in publicity – the role will involve writing press releases and using social media
• Excellent face-to-face customer service skills
• Proven ability to work well under pressure, capable of problem solving
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Please apply with a covering letter and CV.
