Role summary
This summer voluntary 3-6 month placement is a fantastic opportunity to gain unique experience in the startup and social enterprise world. You will be working as a key part of the small Good Deed Dating team, working in a role that offers a lot of responsibility and fast paced learning to make a real difference to a new start-up. Along with having strong influence in our marketing and communications delivery, you will also be exposed to some of the most innovative social enterprise and charity projects in London - so this is an ideal role for someone interested in entrepeneurship for social good. You will need lots of energy and have a strong desire to succeed, as your day will be jam-packed with delivering creative solutions to reach new audiences, making sure as many people hear about Good Deed Dating as possible. You will be dealing with senior level staff, working alongside our founder on a daily basis.

We are a social enterprise (launched in June 2016) which works with charities and social enterprises in London to coordinate volunteering events for single people. Visit for more info.

What’s involved?
Key objectives of your role will be to:
• Increase brand awareness
• Stimulate, build and inspire customer and partner engagement
• Drive targeted traffic to our website and social media channels
• Deliver marketing activity reports
• Work within our brand guidelines

Day to day tasks will include:
• Improving customer engagement through use of effective digital marketing campaigns
• Development and management of the social media plans and campaigns for the business
• Working to really enhance and improve the website and updating content regularly
• Tracking the efficiency and success of all marketing campaigns
• Carrying out market research and competitor analysis
• Contributing new and creative ideas to grow and develop the business in line with the wider business development plans

This role will suit you if you:
• Have a sound understanding of the principles of marketing and proven technical marketing skills
• Have experience in customer and market research
• Have experience in developing and managing on and offline marketing strategies
• Are self-motivated, but able to work as part of a team
• Have good organisational, planning and time-management skills
• Have a positive attitude, good initiative and enterprise
• Have trustworthiness and discretion when handling confidential information
• Have creative flare
• Are passionate about making a positive difference in the world
• Are a team player/relationship builder who really enjoys meeting and talking to new people
• Are creative, innovative, and willing to learn new skills
• Are looking to gain experience in a dynamic start-up environment
• Are willing to get stuck in with anything on a busy day
• Available for 3-4 days per week, ideally for up to six months

Out of pocket travel and lunch expenses will be reimbursed.
