at Circadian in London
Head of Engineering, Central London
Circadian is a data startup with one prototype, one founder, and many years of business expertise behind it. Quill offers businesses fraud detection as a service by focusing on behavioural biometrics, and the MVP is attracting much attention.
Quill has already won one R&D grant, and Circadian a place on CSITLabs (a cyber-security incubator) and Cylon (London’s Cyber Innovation centre). Circadian has just been awarded funding from the Oxford Seed Fund, and the year ahead is already well-signposted, with, amongst other milestones, customer trials.
Quill embodies the core goals of Circadian: seamlessly harvest large datasets to provide rapid, intelligent, signalling for our clients.
Who we’re looking for | Engineering need
Circadian needs a lead engineer to ensure scalability, reliability and security are embedded into the product early, in addition to helping advance Quill’s current functionality.
Ideally you will have some leadership experience within a tech start-up and can express yourself fluidly – we’re going to have to explain to people why they want to invest in us.
Apply if you are an experienced engineer who is now interested in building a scalable business. Don’t worry if the criteria below don’t fit you perfectly; fit between us matters more.
What we’re looking for
- Knowledge of cloud computing (ideally AWS), scaling and database handling;
- Understanding of data-science, with emphasis on machine-learning approaches (ideally using Python, but not critical: whatever gets the job done);
- Experience with Behavioural Biometrics (ideally) or Identity / Authentication;
- Cybersecurity experience, particularly as it applies to personal data;
- Familiarity with SaaS business models.
Benefits | Start Date
Limited salary, meaningful equity stake. Start ASAP.
Why take the leap?
You will be responsible for helping grow a global SaaS model in a rapidly expanding market at one of the most exciting intersections of technology, privacy & data today, and redefining that market in the process.
