Embedded Systems Engineer

As an embedded systems engineer at Plumis, you will be working on the cusp of innovation and take a key role in designing the backend architecture for a new type of fire sprinkler. The role will provide both autonomy and accountability in equal measure allowing the candidate to grow and explore working in a small team of talented and passionate individuals.

Purpose of Job:
This is primarily a hands-on development role: we are looking for a highly skilled and experienced engineer to design and develop embedded hardware and software for fire suppression systems.

Main Responsibilities:
- Professional hardware design using micro-controllers
- Products release and version control
- Product documentation such as FMEA and validation plan

Essential Experience and Skills:
- At least 3 years of experience working with embedded systems
- Proven experience in digital and analogue circuit design, capture, and PCB layout
- Proven experience in product validation, documentation and release
- Expertise in embedded C development, C++, Python

Formal Qualifications:
University degree in Electronic Engineering or similar

Beneficial Experience and Skills:
- Knowledge of product standards and certification, UL, CE, IEC, FCC etc.
- Experience with Zigbee protocol, RF design
- Experience in Fire detection (desirable but not essential)
