OpenPlay is a sports management tool that has an inbuilt marketplace to connect people to facilities and activities.

The core product is a comprehensive online booking system which we sell to venues and activity providers in 8 countries and counting. Based in an amazing start-up hub with a great buzz in Clerkenwell, Central London, our team are informal but hard-working.

The Position

The plan is for OpenPlay to grow globally over the next year and therefore sales firepower is needed. We are looking for a highly motivated and target driven salesperson to hit the ground running. You will be fostering relationships with prospective leads through emails, calls and meetings with the aim of growing the business as much as possible. You will also be involved in the setting out of the sales strategy as we grow and there is scope, with time, to manage a team.


As with any startup the work is varied, but here are the major tasks you will be working on:

• Growing customer base – generating and converting sales leads internationally
• Representing the company at trade shows and networking events
• Ensuring that the company message is kept constant

About you

• Sales experience (ideally 2+ years)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Willing to travel abroad for meetings
• Desire to work in a small but fast growing start-up environment
• Easy going but need willing to get stuck in
• Don’t mind what degree you have (or even if you have one)
• Knowledge of all major social media platforms
• A passion or interest in sports/technology would be preferable
